State Key Laboratory for Precision Testing Techniques and Instrument
The State Key Laboratory for Precision Testing Techniques and Instrument was co-founded by Tianjin University and Tsinghua University in 1995, integrating the strengths of both universities in the field of precision testing and instrument. The lab focuses on the key technologies of precision testing and instrument, aiming at facilitating national economic development and state key projects. Its research areas include laser and electronic testing techniques, precision measurement, intelligent instruments, and nano testing techniques.

State Key Laboratory of Chemical Engineering
In the year of 1991, the State Key United Laboratory for Chemical Engineering established its distillation Laboratory in Tianjin University , which became the base of the basic and applied research in the field of distillation. The Laboratory passed the national accreditation in 1995, and now focuses its research on distillation and composite process, membrane distillation and seawater desalination flash evaporation, bath distillation and its application, optimized distillation process system and the applied researches.
