Tianjin University Holds High-level Overseas Job Fair in Nagoya, Japan

On June 24, a Tianjin University overseas high-level job fair was held in Nagoya, Japan to recruit outstanding overseas talent as part of its efforts to build a first-class faculty team.

The recruitment delegation of heads of relevant departments, offices and schools was led by Zhang Fengbao, Vice President of Tianjin University. Postdoctoral, doctoral, and masters students from Nagoya University, the University of Tsukuba, and Mie University participated in the job fair.

At the job fair, Vice President Zhang Fengbao outlined the development of Tianjin University, stating that “A multidisciplinary coordinated development plan has been laid out by Tianjin University, and we sincerely invite talented overseas graduates to join Tianjin University in building a Chinese style world-class university”. He stressed that the career development of overseas recruits would surely promote the progress of Tianjin University and even the development of China. He stressed that Tianjin University would provide a solid platform for both career and lifestyle to guarantee their future development.

Li Dachao, Deputy Director of the Office of Human Resources at Tianjin University, gave a detailed explanation of the layout of the talent management plan, the compensation and welfare system and the recruitment methods and approach of Tianjin University. For the young scholars with overseas work experience, he described the application requirements. He added: “Tianjin University is dedicated to building a comprehensive scheme for talent introduction, service, cultivation and development, and will do its utmost to create first-rate conditions for young scholars to achieve first-rate careers. We sincerely welcome talented young people to work at Tianjin University”.

Liu Qingling, Vice Dean of the School of Environmental Science and Engineering shared his experience with the participants. He said that the excellent scientific research platforms, the rich cultural atmosphere and first-rate domestic students would surely make the dreams of young talented people come true. He encouraged overseas young talent to seize the opportunity contained in the introduction policy and join the grand project of building a world-class university.

The delegation communicated systematically with the young scholars during the job fair. In addition to answering the questions commonly asked by the overseas liberal arts graduates and young people working in high-tech companies about domestic work, they also individually answered other questions related to work and life raised by the young scholars. The participants expressed their full appreciation of the new talent introduction policy of Tianjin University and their earnest desire to work at Tianjin University.
