The project belongs to the area of manufacturing industry.
The project has made a breakthrough in High-speed Parallel Robot structure innovation, design and control, equipment technology, formed independent research and development systems, and taken the lead in spreading of the technology and application in engineering. The project has two US patents, twenty-one Chinese patents and fifty-four published SCI/EI papers. The prizes it has won include one honorable mention of Chinese Patent Award, two first prizes of municipal Technological Invention Award in Tianjin, Excellent Exhibit of National Science and Technology Museum, and it has also been selected as one of the major science and technology innovative achievements in China. Its outstanding achievements were widely reported by Xinhua News Agency, People’s Daily, and CCTV etc.. The technology has been applied in the automatic assembly lines of Tianjin Lishen Battery, Shijiazhuang No.4 Pharmaceutical, Hangzhou Wahaha, Yunnan Anning Chemical and other corporations, which has increased the sales volume of 497 million Yuan and profit of 136 million Yuan. The achievements have also been applied abroad in the UK and Russia.
It took 20 years for Tianjin University, Wechai Power, Guangxi Yuchai Machinery and other work units to make a series of innovative low noise diesel engine technological achievements through close cooperation and amalgamation of industry, education and research in the support of “863 Program” and other national or corporate research projects. The achievements include combustion noise controlling techniques, which applies to combustion roughness, internal combustion engine shafting three-dimensional vibration low noise structure and compound shock absorption design, whole machine vibration isolation design and exhaust muffling design based on particulate filters. The techniques have been applied to 1784 thousand diesel engines of 36 models in 7 companies, which have brought remarkable economic efficiency. The achievements have prompted scientific and technological progress in the industry and made significant contributions to Chinese diesel engine manufacturing enterprises’ ability to leap over 3 to 4 technical stages in European noise regulations.

Academic Value and Influence：
Evaluation has put forward and demonstrated new theoretical ideas from the perspective of bounded rationality. It investigated not only cognitive bounded rationality but also beneficial bounded rationality in project activities, which made a breakthrough to extend the range of traditional analysis. It also emphasized the investigation into bounded rationality after decision making and included it in the investigation scope of decision making. Evaluation enriches the knowledge system of project evaluation and makes contributions to promote the theory construction of building project evaluation in China.
Chinese Urban Architecture and Japan - A Modern History of Principal Selective Acceptance
Project Leader: Xu Subin
Award: First Prize for Writing Award
Academic Value and Influence:
The new theoretical explorations on the basis of previous studies to evaluate the influence of foreign technology on Chinese cities and architecture in modern history emphasize the significant and potential impact of nationalism. The research sufficiently reveals that it is nationalism that was the essential motive for China to actively learn foreign technologies and promote the development of cities and architecture in modern history. It also demonstrates that China, rather than any other actor, was the principal promoter of the development of cities and architecture in the semi-colonial period. The writing describes the relations between Chinese and Japanese urban architecture from various viewpoints on the basis of multiple disciplines.
