Welcome to Enjoy Crabapple Blossom Festival at Tianjin University!

The Open Day of this year's Crabapple Blossom Festival falls on April 5 (Friday) with a series of activities.

Activities

At the Open Day, four tour routes are designed on the Weijin Road Campus and the Peiyangyuan Campus, namely, “Deep affection for the Nation and Family”, “Together for a Shared Future”, “Keeping Cultural Heritage Alive”, and “Voices of Spring at TJU”. There will be various activities such as exhibitions on Tianjin University’s Emerging Engineering Education, insights into the technological innovation of the earthquake engineering simulation research facility, high-level dialogues among academicians and scholars, open days for national key laboratories and multiple national/Tianjin science popularization bases, appreciation and experience of Chinese traditional culture, release ceremony and book fair for Tianjin University campus construction plans and catalogues, world chess champion lectures, Tianjin Women’s Volleyball Team campus visit, cultural performances by Chinese and international students and teachers, and carnival events by various clubs. Green Commuting

On open day, visitors, alumni, teachers, and students are encouraged to choose green commuting. If driving to the campus, please park in the surrounding areas.

Tianjin University Weijin Road Campus is located at No. 92 Weijin Road, Nankai District. Visitors can enter the campus on foot through the East Gate, West Gate, North Gate, or Mingde Road Gate. The bus stop near the East Gate is “Qilitai Station”, and the bus stop near the North Gate is “Tiandasushe Station”. The subway stations near the Weijin Road Campus are “Haiguangsi Station”, “Anshandao Station”, and “Xikanglu Station”. “Xijie Classroom” on the Weijin Road Campus is open as a resting place for tourists.

Tianjin University’s Peiyangyuan Campus is located at No.135 Yaguan Road, Haihe Education Park, Jinnan District. Visitors can enter the campus on foot through the East Gate, Southeast Gate, South Gate, or North Gate. The bus stop near the East Gate is “Tianjindaxue Xinxiaoqu Dongmen Station”. The bus stops near the Southeast Gate are “Tianjindaxue Xinxiaoqu Nanmen Station” and “Tiannanda Xinzhi Station”. The bus stop near the North Gate is “Tianjindaxue Xinxiaoqu Beimen Station”. The subway station near the Southeast Gate is “Haihe Education Park Station”, and the subway station near the South Gate is “Tianjin University Peiyangyuan Campus Station”.

Dining

During the campus open days, all the dining halls on both campuses are open to visitors and accept mobile payments. At the Weijin Road Campus, the Qiushi Restaurant (3rd floor of Building No. 4) and on Peiyangyuan Campus, the Taoyuan Dining Hall (2nd floor of Building No. 5), Liuyuan Dining Hall (2nd floor), and Qingyuan Restaurant allow offline ordering. On the open day, managers of the dining halls will be available on-site.

Tips

On the open day, designated areas on campus will provide beverage sales and other services. Visitors are encouraged to enjoy the blossoms wholeheartedly and refrain from engaging in business activities or paid services. Please take care of the plants, trees, and lawns. No climbing campus architectural landscapes, or public facilities. Please pay attention to campus safety regulations. Parents are kindly reminded to take good care of their children around lakes, ponds, fountains, etc. Please consciously protect the campus environment, keeping environment clean. Do not fly “low, slow, small” aircraft in campus airspace.
