Christmas Atmosphere Heats up in Tianjin University

 Campus

Christmas is just around the corner as we reach the freezing and busy end days of the semester. For students who are preoccupied with papers and exams, joining in the festivities is a great way to relax in their spare time. The fancy decorations of the festival can be seen at many places on campus and various Christmas themed activities are held during these couple weeks, adding bright colors and the warmth of Christmas cheer to campus life.

It is noticeable that many of the cafeterias have already put up new decorations for the coming Christmas Day, including Christmas trees and other attractive Christmas themed images. Students light up at the sight of the dining hall decked out in the Christmas way.

A Christmas Party was held on December 15th in the library of Peiyang Park Campus as one of the series of activities of LIBTOPIA. Composed of Christmas speeches, Christmas poetry reading as well as other English language games, the party was very popular among both the Chinese students and international students. They were impressed with the activities designed with Christmas elements incorporated into them. The yuletide atmosphere of Christmas Day merriment was shown through the friendly interactions between people from different cultures and backgrounds at the party, coming together to celebrate.

Christmas in Tianjin University is not just about happiness but also a chance to show your goodwill to those around you and those who need your help. A charity bazaar of Christmas gifts, launched by the Youth Volunteers Association of CPIOEE, COME’s Young Volunteers Association and the Youth Volunteers Association of the Science College, received a warm welcome from the students recently. With the purpose of spreading love and gratitude, the bazaar provided the reservation for friends and classmates of apples and other Christmas packages, the proceeds of which will all be donated to the unattended children in Jiangxi and Hebei Provinces. Students can also write their best wishes on the Christmas cards to the recipients who will later be surprised by the gift.

The Christmas, helps us to deliver our feelings we cherish in our hearts and deliver the power of love to the outside world.
