Tianjin University Honors Outstanding Students in 2022-2023

Tianjin University recently hosted a prestigious event to honor the exceptional achievements of its students during the 2022-2023 academic year. The "Aspire to Serve the Country, Tianjin University Role Models" Outstanding Student Commendation Ceremony, held at the Qiu Shi Hall, Peiyangyuan Campus, brought together university leaders, faculty members, scholarship donors, and student representatives in a celebration of academic excellence and dedication to national service.

The ceremony, presided over by Party Committee Secretary Yang Xianjin, was a testament to the university's commitment to recognizing and nurturing talent. Deputy Secretaries Lei Ming and Han Qinghua, Chief Counselor Feng Cuiling, and National Master Teacher Zhang Sherong joined Yang Xianjin in presenting awards to exemplary students. Their presence underscored the significance of the occasion and the importance of fostering a culture of excellence within the university community.

In his address, Han Qinghua congratulated the award recipients and expressed gratitude to the businesses, alumni donors, teachers, and parents who have contributed to the students' success. The ceremony also celebrated the university's success in national student honors, with undergraduate Sheng Xinlei from the School of Architecture named one of ten "National Self-Improvement Pioneers among Chinese University Students." Li Shuangyang, a doctoral student from the School of Chemical Engineering, was recognized as one of the twenty "Chinese University Students of the Year," highlighting the university's reputation for excellence in educational reform and academic achievement.

In addition to the awards presentation, the ceremony featured thematic presentations, speeches, and performances, providing students with a platform to share their experiences and aspirations.
