Bravo! Chemical Engineering Discipline Ranks 28th in QS World University Subject Rankings 2024

On April 10, the 2024 QS World University Rankings by Subject were released, revealing Tianjin University's Chemical Engineering discipline ranking 28th globally. This year's rankings encompassed over 1,500 universities worldwide across 55 disciplines and five academic areas. The evaluation of the Chemical Engineering subject considered five key factors: Academic Reputation, Employer Reputation, Citations per Paper, H-index Citations, and International Research Network.

The School of Chemical Engineering and Technology (SCET) traces its roots back to 1925. From 2003 to 2022, it consistently held the top position in evaluations of chemical engineering disciplines by the Ministry of Education of China. SCET has been an early participant in the global chemical engineering education community. In 2008, it became the first Chinese school to achieve Master Level accreditation by the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE). Subsequently, it successfully obtained re-accreditation in 2014 and 2018. SCET has actively welcomed outstanding international students to pursue bachelor's, master's, and PhD. degrees, participate in short-term programs, or engage in post-doctoral work. To date, SCET has attracted students from over 50 countries across six continents.
