80,000 People Enjoy Crabapple Blossom Festival at Tianjin University

On April 2, 2023, Tianjin University opened to the public for Crabapple Blossom Festival. Both Weijin Road Campus and Peiyangyuan Campus of Tianjin University felt the energy, happiness and excitement. 80,000 people including Tianjin University faculty and students, their families and friends, alumni, and citizens flock to the Crabapple Blossom Festival.

The Festival features various performances and activities, including sports activities, exhibitions, and artistic and cultural performances. The Tianjin University History Museum, the Feng Jicai Research Institute of Literature and Art, key laboratories, and science centers opened to visitors. Peiyang Chorus, an international student choir made up of students from 19 countries, and a retired faculty choir and a children’s choir from the Affiliated Primary School of Tianjin University gave choral performances. Visitors watched dancing, instrumental, and choral performances, felt wonderful science and innovation power at exhibitions, experienced unmanned driving on intelligent connected buses, appreciated cultural charm at Feng Jicai Research Institute of Literature and Art, participated in various intangible cultural heritage themed activities including paper cuttings, porcelain carving, handmade mortise and tenon, and rowed dragon boats with the dragon boating team…
