On October 9, Qin Xiao-hong, Vice President of Guangxi Yuchai Machinery co., LTD, Lin Tiejian, Executive Assistant, Dean of Engineering Research Institute, and Chief of Recruitment and Deployment Division and others visited the School of Mechanical Engineering, and discussed with the school on talent training, cooperative projects, campus recruitment and other aspects. Wang Tianyou, Dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering, and relevant faculty members welcomed Yuchai representatives.

Wang Tianyou introduced about the school’s history, discipline construction and scientific research layout. Qin Xiaohong and Lin Tiejian of Yuchai Power respectively introduced the industrial layout, general situation of enterprise development and talent reserve of Yuchai Group. The two sides reviewed their cooperation in personnel training, scientific and technological cooperation and achievement transformation over the years, and reached the agreement that the industrial-academic-research cooperation brought mutual benefit and win-win results to both sides. They also had full exchanges on the direction and content of the subsequent in-depth cooperation.

The company held a job fair at the school. Dean Wang Tian-you who once worked at Yuchai, attended the fair and shared his working experience there. He mainly talked about Yuchai’s contribution to China's internal combustion engine industry, encouraged students to join the company, and commit to the development of China diesel engine industry.
