A group of management experts led by Prof. Ma Shou-feng, the party secretary of the College of Management and Economics (CoME) visited Tanchang County which Tianjin University has vowed to help in poverty alleviation from June 1 to June 4 and offered professional knowledge in terms of industry and education improvement.

The expert group inspected a noodle processing plant established under the joint efforts of Tianjin University and the local government. It is an important measure Tianjin University takes to vitalize the local economy and increase people’ income. The experts provided some suggestions about working shop running, such as its organization, management mode innovation, and product branding strategy.

The group also surveyed the e-commerce platform and looked into relative enterprises’ operating ability, network marketing, and sales results. During the meeting with the local government officials and business representatives, experts exchanged views on issues of the current difficulties in the development of e-commerce, bacterial beekeeping industry, and Tourism Company. Professor Zhang Hui-ying, Chen Wei-dong, Associate Professor Li Ling, Zheng Chun-dong, and Bai Yan-zhuang all put forward valuable suggestions to local enterprises.

The group later paid a visit to Dazhai Nine-Year Primary School and the No.1 Middle School in the county where graduate students Yuan Chao-lun and Li Ya-qiong from CoME volunteered to teach. Prof. Huo highly praised their work and expressed his expectation that they served as a friendship bridge between Tianjin University and the pairing schools.
