“2020 the 6th Annual Design Exhibition of Tianjin University” opened online on June 3, 2020. Jointly held by the industrial design major at the School of Mechanical Engineering and the animation major from the College of Intelligence and Computing, the exhibition takes "Unlock 2020" as the theme and for the first time was display online in light of epidemic prevention and control.

Since 2015, the industrial design major has started to open an annual design exhibition from May to June to create a platform where students’ innovative design ideas can be displayed to the public. After six years' development, the exhibition has extended its content from mainly undergraduates’ graduation designs to including excellent course design works from both undergraduate students and graduates, innovative design projects and works from famous overseas design universities.

The industrial design exhibition area of this year has gathered more than 100 design works, including 33 works of senior students, 154 excellent works of other undergraduate students, 5 works of graduates, 9 innovative design works and 16 design works from universities.

Young designers from Tianjin University, with their professional knowledge and innovative spirit, bravely make their own answers to 2020.

The Industrial design major of Tianjin University was established in 1986, and has been selected into the "excellent engineer training plan" approved by the Ministry of Education. Based on mechanical engineering, this major has integrated with many other disciplines such as management science, social science and humanities.
