【Poverty Alleviation】Tianjin University Holds Village Doctor Training Class

 Campus

On June 1, nearly 400 village doctors from Tanchang County in Gansu finished the online ‘Village Doctor Training Class’ held by Tianjin University, and received electronic certificates of completion.

In recent years, Tianjin University (TJU) has continued to work hard on the assistance of Tanchang County to alleviate poverty through development of education, intelligence, consumption, and industry. TJU’s School of Distance and Continuing Education took the lead in launching the one-month ‘Village Doctor Training Class’, which attracted nearly 400 village doctors from 336 administrative villages in Tanchang County.

The School of Distance and Continuing Education cooperated with Tanchang County’s Health Bureau to list the courses focusing on the common and frequently occurring local diseases. The courses were recorded and lectured by experienced staff from TJU’s affiliated hospitals, Academy of Disaster Medicine, and the campus hospital.

By using mobile phones to log in to the TJU-Tanchang Training Service Platform, the village doctors could learn the course anytime and anywhere, and if they encountered problems, they can get one-on-one help after class.
