On May 19, Tianjin University’s Qiushi Honors College co-established a social practice center with the Jinshijiayuan community located in Wanghailou Street, Hebei District, Tianjin.

During the event, Shi Ziqing, Vice Director of the Wanghailou Sub-district Administration, encouraged the student associations of Tianjin University to carry out the innovation and entrepreneurship roadshow, organize volunteer services and social practice activities in the communities. He also hoped that students could improve the program of the service robots in intelligent communities to further promote the industrialization of scientific and technological achievements.

Jiao Xuan, Deputy Secretary of the Party committee of Qiushi Honors College, stressed that Tianjin university has always attached great importance to social practice and encouraged students to connect with communities and scientific and technological enterprises. Qiushi Honors College has made some achievements in students' social practice. She hoped to build a mechanism to promote activities such as organizations exchange, volunteer services and popularization of science and technology with the opportunity of co-establishment of the social practice center.

Liu Ze, General Manager of Zhihuiweilai Technologies Co., Ltd., pointed out that as a local technology-based industry in Tianjin, Zhihuiweilai has served the security work of large-scale sports games in 2017. He hoped to utilize technical means to further serve the community, and people's life. He also said that industry-university-research institute cooperation with Tianjin University should be formed to change life with science and technology.

Zhang Yan, office director of Wanghailou Street, stated that the community Jinshijiayuan has always focused on building a smart community. The community and the enterprise would jointly use scientific and technological means to make people enjoy a better life. The social practice center established by Jinshijiayuan and Qiushi Honors College of Tianjin university could provide a platform for more students. She encouraged students to actively organize and participate in the assistance of the vulnerable populations and children, and social research projects, so as to give full play to the function of the social practice center.
