Recently, Tianjin University conducted a "live stream marketing training camp" for people in Tanchang County, Gansu Province and taught local villagers, shopkeepers and community-level officials how to become "Experts at Marketing their Goods", which made mobile phones and live broadcasting become "new farming tools and method of work". This training camp promoted local special mountain products, and created a "self-reliance" model of intelligent poverty alleviation.

This unique "live stream marketing training camp" lasted for 30 days, mainly for farmers, merchants and community-level officials in Tanchang County, Gansu Province. This course attracted nearly 200 people from surrounding districts and counties to attend. Considering that most people had to work during the day, the university arranged night classes for the training camp. After dinner, trainees could study the new thinking and practical anchors skills of e-commerce business through a WeChat group and a live streaming platform.

Training camp’s classes were divided into two parts: theory and practice. The vivid courses opened a new door to prosperity for trainees who have never been exposed to e-commerce sales. At the end of the courses, the training team will also provide guidance to assist trainees to complete the product planning in live broadcast and post production, thus helping them become skilled "experts in marketing their goods", and independently "attract customer traffic to sell goods".

"I used to watch Kwai and TikTok every day, and I always thought those videos on these platforms were of good quality, but I didn't know how to implement the information. Thanks to Tianjin University’s training camp, I finally found the key to realizing success. I hope I can become an "online influencer" through my 30 days’ study, thus finding a way out for the local specialties and traditional Chinese medicine in our store! " Dou Fangtao, a member of training camp and a worker of Tanchang County’s drugstore, said.

Since 2013, Tianjin University has doggedly sought to help lift Tanchang County out of poverty. Over the years, remarkable achievements have been made in education, industry, consumption and intelligent poverty alleviation.
