Twenty-eight Achievements Win Tianjin Science and Technology Award

During Tianjin Science and Technology Award Conference held on April 23, 2020, twenty-eight projects of Tianjin University won the Tianjin Science and Technology Awards, including three top prizes, three first prizes, eight second prizes, one third prize, and one international science and technology cooperation prize.

The Tianjin Science and Technology Awards this year included 13 natural science awards, 7 technological invention awards, 174 scientific and technological progress awards, and 1 international science and technology cooperation award.

The project led by Professor Yuan Yingjin from the School of Chemical Engineering and Technology was awarded top prize in natural science. The project led by Professor Wang Taiyong from the School of Mechanical Engineering and the project led by Professor Gong Junbo from the School of Chemical Engineering and Technology were awarded top prizes in scientific and technological progress. Professor Jay Siegel from the School of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology was awarded international science and technology cooperation award. The project led by Professor Xie Hui from the School of Mechanical Engineering was awarded the first prize of the Science and Technology Invention Award. The project led by Professor Tao Wenyuan from the College of Intelligence and Computing and the project led by Professor Wang Qing from the School of Electrical and Information Engineering were awarded the first prizes of Science and Technology Progress Award.

The award-winning projects of Tianjin University involve many disciplines such as biology, machinery, chemical engineering, computer, electronics, power, etc.
