Many students of Tianjin University who were seeking jobs received offers from multiple companies on the afternoon of March 13, when the first Job Fair Online in 2020 concluded in less than 24 hours.

"How quickly I received an offer!" said Ma Sicheng, who majors in Material Forming and Control Engineering in the School of Materials Science and Engineering of Tianjin university and receives the offer from Qingdao Branch of China Construction Eighth Engineering Division.

During the event, the whole process of recruitment was carried out online, including employers’ publishing recruitment information, student applicants sending out resumes, and on-site communication and interview. Without site limitation, the number of employers has increased significantly.

This Job Fair attracted 1057 employers from various industries and regions to choose from and a total of 75746 posts for recruitment were provided. A total of 6266 university students, including students from other universities, signed up for the event and more than 33549 resumes were sent. From March 11 to12, 562 employers and 4690 students took part in the event, and 2367 interactive interviews were conducted.

"Online Job Fairs are relatively easy and convenient, which improves recruitment efficiency greatly. More than 40 applicants have been scheduled for video interviews, most of whom are undergraduates; students majoring in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Automation." said Li Haosen, the recruitment director of Wanhua Chemical. Lyu Shaopeng, recruitment director for Inspur said, "Online Job Fairs successfully connect both companies and students, meet the employment needs of enterprises as well as the needs of students and break through the limitations of space distance." Besides, recruitment directors of the subsidiaries of China State Construction said, "Online Job Fairs are suitable. A lot of students covering a wide range of majors participated in it. And results are better than the offline recruitment sessions."

"Online Job Fair breaks through the space limitation while increasing the number of employers. It allows students to send resumes and interview online, which reduces the travel troubles and improves the efficiency. The Career Center of Tianjin University provides a lot of convenient employment opportunities, I hope students make full use of it and find satisfying jobs as soon as possible!" said counselor Jin Xuefeng at Tianjin University.

Two online job fairs for Tianjin University are to be launched sometime in March and one specifically aimed recruiting female college graduates.
