On December 15, the tenth Alumni Congress of Beijing Alumni Association of Tianjin University was held in Beijing. More than 200 representatives attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Yuan Huazhi was elected president of the tenth council among 86 members, Zhang Chengdong the president of the supervisory board among three supervisors of Alumni Association in Beijing, and Liu Yanhua, Liu Kaijun, Cai Shaokuan and Feng Guoxin the executive vice presidents. In addition, Feng Guoxin became the Secretary General.

On behalf of Tianjin University, president Jin Donghan extended his sincere greetings and heartfelt thanks to all the alumni in Beijing for their support to the development of Tianjin University, and invited them to reunite together on the 125th anniversary of the foundation of Tianjin University. He mentioned that since the establishment of the Beijing Alumni Association in 1981, alumni from various fields have been united and made important contributions to the development of their alma mater. He also pointed out that we are currently in a critical period of accelerating the construction of a world-class university, which calls for the redoubled efforts of all teachers and students, as well as the continuous attention and full support of alumni. He sincerely hoped the alumni can continue to provide suggestions and solutions to realize win-win development and make Tianjin University a world-class university at an early date.

The newly elected president of the 10th council, as well as the director of the Professional Committee of Construction Engineering and Real Estate of All China Lawyers Association Yuan Huazhi said that he will continue to be a good service provider and liaison,inherit the spirit of Tianjin University, and try his utmost to make the Beijing Alumni Association better.

The conference heard and reviewed the work report and financial report made by An Zhizhong, executive vice president of the ninth council.
