2019 Tianjin University Music Festival Held

The 2019 Tianjin University Music Festival was held on December 1, 2019, hosted by the Peiyang Sports New Media Center and Peiyang Guitar Club. Five bands, several excellent singers and a dance troupe from Tianjin University performed at the festival, and a crowd of over a hundred faculty and students were impressed by their wonderful performance.

 

The dance Rump Shaker staged by the Hip-Hop Crew of the DBX Dance Troupe marked the beginning of the music festival, and set an energetic tone for the entire event.

The first band Shangtou from the Peiyang Guitar Club consisted of undergraduates and postgraduates from both Tianjin University campuses. They gathered together out of their love for music. The band played three songs, including an original song A Letter from the Kanas Lake, expressing the hope that everyone could be kind and genuine. The band Emoji, founded and developed in Tianjin University, mixed several songs such as Autumn Leaves and New Boy, which ingeniously integrated jazz, pop and rock music. Their distinctive medley won cheers from the audience.

The hip-hop band Peiyang Bang started their performance by singing Arabia, The Genius Club and other songs accompanied by screams and applause from the audience, which fully displayed their youth and vitality. Then the first half of the show ended with the song A Bloody Love Story sung by the singer Kou Guanhao.

The band Caramel Coke made their debut tonight, which proved to be a success. They sang Yellow and another two songs, marking the beginning of the second half of the show. Then Jiao Wenxi and Yang Jinchang sang A Love So Beautiful, leading to an upsurge of sending messages to confess love on the screen among the audience.

The Peiyang Harmonica Club played Secret Base in praise of youth. Xu Zhendong played Wings! You Are the Hero with the guitar, and the music resounded through the hall so that the entire audience was deeply moved.

The last band, Cephalosporin and Beer, has abundant experience in stage performance and a focus on rock music. They played songs such as Creep, Rape Me, and Holiday with great passion, pushing the atmosphere of the festival to a climax.

The music festival concluded with the dynamic dance Waiting for You and Ready or Not? staged by the DBX Dance Troupe.
