On November 28th, a founding ceremony was held for the establishment of the Aluminum Structure Branch of the Chinese Construction Metal Structure Association (CCMSA) in theNew Century Grand Hotel, Kaifeng city, Henan province. The ceremony was organized by the CCMSA and the Aluminum Structure Branch of the Chinese Construction Metal Structure Association (ASB-CCMSA) and hosted by Tianjin University’s Zhongyuan Institute of Advanced Technology. More than 180 experts and scholars in aluminum structure-related fields across the country attended the meeting, and Prof. Chen Zhihua, vice president of Lanzhou University of Technology and Dean of Kaifeng Institute, presided over the conference.

The conference appointed Prof. Chen Zhihua as the president of ASB-CCMSA along with 8 vice presidents.Chen Zhihua then chaired the ASB-CCMSA council meeting which discussed and passed the work regulations and work plan for the branch.

On November 29th ASB-CCMSA experts made an on-the-spot investigation of the Qixian Aluminum Profile Industrial Park. In the He Li Sheng Da Aluminum Company, they saw the prefabricating process of aluminum profiles, including raw materials high-temperature treatment, extrusion molding cutting, surface treatment, and automatic spraying, then they visited the aluminum furniture exhibition at the Xi Chao Aluminum Company.

“We chose to hold the conference in Qixian County at Kaifeng City because here we witnessed the rapid development of the aluminum profile industry. Hopefully, the aluminum profile industry chain in Kaifeng will be upgraded with the help of the scientific research team of Kaifeng Institute.” President Chen said.

Reportedly Chen Zhihua, representing Kaifeng Institute and the Aluminum Structure Branch, signed agreements with Henan Dong Wang Xi Chao Aluminum co., LTD and Henan Shi He industrial co., LTD.
