On November 20, 2019 Academician Gu Peihua delivered a report on "Coherent-Collaborative-Interdisciplinary-Innovative Plan" which sets Tianjin University’s course for promoting emerging engineering education. The lecture was organized by the School of Environmental Science and Engineering. Academician Gu Peihua connected the new industrial revolution with the new educational reform and pointed out the significance and value of emerging engineering education. He also reported on the issue of Tianjin University’s new engineering education program, giving the teachers and students a more comprehensive introduction. Finally, Academician Gu also emphasized the goals of the Tianjin University 2030 Action Plan.

Gu Peihua is the director of the New Engineering Education Center of Tianjin University and a professor at the School of Mechanical Science and Engineering. He served as the executive president of Shantou University. Gu currently serves as the editorial committee or deputy editor in chief of more than 10 academic journals.
