From November 20- 21, 2019, the Autumn Board Meeting and Council Meeting of the International Council on Combustion Engines (CIMAC) was held at the headquarters of Winterthur Gas and Diesel (WinGD) in Winterthur, Switzerland. Jin Donghan, Chairman of CIMAC, President of the Chinese Society of Internal Combustion Engines, and President of Tianjin University attended the meeting with more than 30 members of the Board and Council and experts from China, Germany, the United States, Australia, Switzerland, Denmark, Japan and South Korea.

The meeting was chaired by Jin Donghan and CIMAC Secretary-General Peter Müller-Baum. It focused on the revision of the CIMAC charter, cooperation and communication, strategic consulting, the summary of the 29th CIMAC conference, and the activities of member states in 2019. Important activities such as the work of the 2020-2021 working group, CASCADES, CIMAC Circle, and the establishment of a digital strategy team were arranged. Jin Donghan also participated in the first advisory committee meeting of the "MTZ Industry" magazine and visited the WinGD engine research and innovation center, having in-depth exchanges with experts at home and abroad on high-pressure common rail system technology, constant-capacity incendiary test benches, and diesel selective catalytic reduction technology (SCR).

During the Council Meeting, Wang Hu, an associate professor in the School of Mechanical Engineering of Tianjin University, reported on the specific arrangements and proposals for the CIMAC Spring Board and Council Meeting in Tianjin in 2020. The meeting decided that the CIMAC Spring Board and Council Meeting in 2020 will be co-organized by the Chinese Society of Internal Combustion Engines and Tianjin University and will be held in Tianjin on May 4-7, 2020.
