On October 25, Prof. Fouad Bennis, Dean of International Relations of Ecole Central de Nantes, France led a delegation to Tianjin University. Zhao Meirong, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Tianjin University, met with the delegation.

During discussions, Zhao Meirong said that thanks to the close cooperation with Ecole Central de Nantes, 15 Tianjin University students have pursued advanced education in Ecole Central de Nantes through the 3+1+2 joint training program since 2016. In response to new technological development trends, Tianjin University is actively developing new disciplines. She expressed her hope that in the future, Ecole Central de Nantes and Tianjin University could further expand cooperation.

Fouad Bennis spoke highly of the rapid development of Tianjin University. He hoped to further strengthen the exchange of students between two universities, serving as an opportunity to promote faculty exchanges and cooperation in scientific research.

During the visit, discussions were held between the delegation and the teachers from the School of Civil Engineering, the Qiushi Honors College, the International Engineering Institute, the School of Mechanical Engineering, and the School of Electrical and Information Engineering, to explore how to further optimize the joint training programs. The delegation also communicated with those students who are interested in studying at Ecole Central de Nantes, and introduced student life in France.
