President Jin Donghan Appointed Editor in Chief of Journal: Energy and Artificial Intelligence

 

On October 14, Peter Harrison, senior vice president of Elsevier led a delegation to visit Tianjin University. During the meeting, Tianjin University President Jin Donghan was appointed editor in chief of the International Journal: Energy and Artificial Intelligence.

At the meeting, President Jin Donghan stressed that the Energy and Artificial Intelligence Journal is in line with current world development and research trends. He hoped that through the cooperation between Tianjin University and Elsevier in the International Journal, both sides could achieve deeper cooperation. In addition, he also expects Elsevier to explore and publish Chinese journals in the future, which will help Chinese industry obtain the latest scientific research more quickly.

Senior Vice President Peter Harrison said that the new journal jointly launched by Tianjin University and Elsevier will facilitate making new contributions to the application of artificial intelligence technology in the field of energy.

The Energy and Artificial Intelligence journal was founded jointly by the Tianjin University State Key Laboratory of Engine Combustion and the internationally renowned academic press Elsevier. The Journal is committed to providing an authoritative academic exchange and publishing platform, disseminating and promoting the latest developments in the application of artificial intelligence in the field of energy. Professor Rafaela Ocone, academician of the Royal Academy of engineering, Professor Jiao Kui of Tianjin University and Professor Jin Xuan of Loughborough University will be deputy editors for the journal. The editorial board of the journal will be composed of more than 20 well-known experts from famous domestic and foreign universities and scientific research institutions, including experts from the University of Science and Technology of China, Tianjin University, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, China, the Imperial College London, the Fraunhofer Research Institution, the University of California, America, the University of Waterloo, Canada, and the University of Belfort Montpellier, France. The journal is expected to be officially released and receive contributions in early 2020.
