TJU-NUS Joint Institute Welcomes New Students

On August 31, 60 Ph.D. students moved in to the newly established TJU-NUS Joint Institute in Fuzhou.

According to an agreement between Tianjin University, the National University of Singapore, the Fuzhou government, and the Education Department of Fujian Province, the parties agreed to collaborate on the establishment a Fuzhou International Campus, Tianjin University. The novel TJU-NUS Joint Institute in Fuzhou is the first school established within the new facility.

The Institute will promote research and develop talents in photoelectron, flexible electronics, advanced manufacturing, energy materials and catalysis.

As an important support platform for Tianjin University, the International Campus will cultivate top-notch talent and contribute world-class academic achievements. It will become an academic plateau for talent training, scientific research and international cooperation of Tianjin University, and make outstanding contributions to the socio-economic and higher education development of Fuzhou City and Fujian Province.
