On August 28, Tianjin University and Shanghai University signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement at the Weijin Road Campus. Tianjin University Party Secretary Li Jiajun and President Jin Donghan and Shanghai University President Liu Changsheng attended the event.

Adhering to the principles of mutual benefit and common development, the two universities will cooperate on talent cultivation, disciplinary construction, faculty team development, scientific research, and training cadres.

TJU Party Secretary Li Jiajun hoped that the two universities could come to understand each other’s ideas and distinctive management models, accelerating the implementation of the agreement and making substantive progress in cooperation.

TJU President Jin Donghan hoped that the two universities could develop in-depth and wide-ranging cooperation: highlight the cooperative focus and advance joint development of disciplines in an orderly manner; focus on long-term development and continue to expand the larger cooperative space; serve the community and build a model of win-win cooperation.

President Liu Changsheng indicated the agreement was a new milestone in the cooperation between the two universities. He hoped the two universities could continue to strengthen their cooperation both in depth and meaning, yielding synergistic achievements.
