Tianjin University Wins Top Prize in Food Engineering Virtual Simulation Contest

From August 22 to 25, the 2019 2nd National College Student Food Engineering Virtual Simulation Contest was held at the Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University. Under the guidance of Xiao Xiaoming and Li Guobing, teachers from the School of Chemical Engineering and Technology, the Tianjin University team comprised of three 2016 undergraduates majoring in food science and engineering, Hu Jiaqiang, Yu Yue and Zhang Zhen, won a grand prize in the final round through the competitions of Food Engineering Theories, Virtual Simulation and Food Engineering Experiments.

In this contest, 45 teams stood out from 206 comprised of food science majors from 106 universities in the Northern, Southern and Western Division of China. Next year, the competition will take place at Hebei Agricultural University in August, 2020.
