On July 5, the first batch of 2019 undergraduate admission letters of Tianjin University were sent out to all parts of China, which is also the first batch of admission letters among colleges and universities in Tianjin.

On July 5, Tianjin University President Jin Donghan came to the admissions office, to sign the first batch of undergraduate admission letters. Then he worked together with the staff of the admissions office, putting the admission notices and other materials into the packages which included an admission letter, a TJU emblem, an intelligent augmented reality “Hai Xiao Tang”, a brief introduction of the history of TJU, an electronic key, a bookmark, and a hand-drawn map, showing general points of interest on campus for prospective students. These gift bags were later delivered to the post office staff.

Then Jin Donghan gave a phone call to prospective student #124, Cai Yiyang, sending his blessing and expectations. Jin Donghan warmly congratulated Cai Yiyang on his acceptance to Tianjin University. He then explained the significance of the number 124. As the first modern university in China, TJU celebrates its 124th anniversary this year. He hoped that undergraduates enrolled in 2019 will have a meaningful campus experience and go forward with TJU for greater achievements.

Cai Yiyang said, “Unexpectedly, I received the phone call from the president himself announcing my acceptance.” He also expressed that he would live up to the good wishes of the president and strive to learn hard, becoming a qualified TJU student.
