Tianjin University Signs Agreement with Nankai District Government of Tianjin

On June 26, the government of Tianjin’s Nankai District and Tianjin University signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement at Tianjin University’s Weijin Road Campus. The two parties will carry out comprehensive strategic cooperation in the areas of innovation essential factor clusters, commercialization of scientific and technological achievements, project carrier construction, application demonstration of scientific research achievements and high-level training of talents.

In line with the principles of "mutual support, resource sharing, mutual benefits, win-win, pragmatism and efficiency, and joint development", the two parties will jointly promote scientific and technological cooperation and the commercialization of achievements, giving full play to the disciplinary advantages of Tianjin University, fully integrating the resources of research institutes and science and technology-based enterprises at Nankai District, and jointly building the Tianjin industrial cluster highland of scientific and technological achievement commercialization. The two parties will carry out multi-level industry-university-research institute activities to promote exchanges and cooperation in science and technology, talent, education, and finance. Tianjin University and the Nankai District will strengthen the training and exchange of high-level talents, make use of geographical characteristics and industrial facilities at Nankai District, encourage and support government departments, key enterprises and Tianjin University to jointly build bases of social practice as well as employment internship and training, and provide a practical and entrepreneurial platform for students and graduates of Tianjin University. The two parties will strengthen cooperation in the construction of research and development platforms, give full play to the advantages of both sides, and jointly promote the launching of high-end talent platforms such as academician workstations, engineering and technical research centers, postdoctoral research workstations (innovation and practice bases), and professor's studios.

The two sides will also strengthen cooperation on sharing scientific and technological information and resource, and optimize the development environment of the city.

Consequently, a cooperation agreement was signed between Nankai District, College of Intelligence and Computing of Tianjin University, and Digital China Holdings Limited Company.
