On June 11, after two days of heated competition, the 2019 Sunshine Sports Swimming Competition of Chinese Students came to an end in Yibin City, Sichuan Province. Jin Mengyang, a junior from the College of Management and Economics of TJU, won a gold medal in the Women’s 400m Freestyle and a silver medal in the Women’s 200m Freestyle.

During the Women’s 400m Freestyle competition with athletes from Fudan University, South China University of Technology and other universities, Jin Mengyang led the way after entering the water with excellent athletic skills and psychological quality, winning the gold medal in five minutes and 21 seconds (5:21.56).

The competition was hosted by the Federation of University Sports of China of Ministry of Education. About 400 students from more than 50 universities, including TJU and Tongji University, took part in the competition. It is the highest level among the swimming competition of amateur university students in China.
