On June 6, the plaque for the “Tianjin Hospital, Tianjin University” was unveiled.

Tianjin University President Jin Donghan said, the 19th National Congress of the CPC stressed the need to carry out the Healthy China initiative, and health has become an important part of people’s quality of life in the new era. Always based on the needs of national major strategies, Tianjin University promoted a disciplinary layout of “strengthening engineering, enhancing science, revitalizing liberal arts, and developing medicine". Since 2018, Tianjin University has established Medical College, been approved to set up programs of Intelligent Medical Engineering and Clinical Medicine, and founded the University-Hospital Consortium to develop overall cooperation between the University and hospitals.

President Jin also hoped that both parties could focus on training excellent medical talents, strengthen interdisciplinary integration, and establish as well as improve the cooperation mechanism between the university and the hospitals.

Afterwards, the participants visited the trauma emergency center, training center, apron, emergency intensive care unit (EICU) and other special areas.
